“I’m a little late writing this as I thought I already had left this review but I can’t see it. No matter, better late than never! Honestly, I cannot praise this hotel and its staff and Manageress highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we felt looked after and relaxed and we had a gorgeous comfortable room. Unfortunately, I was taken ill on our first evening there, and we had to cancel our subsequent nights as I ended up in hospital for several days with an infection. The staff were so kind, and genuinely concerned, and there was no fuss at all about refunding us for the cancelled nights. We’ve booked another stay and we’ll be visiting again next Spring. We look forward to a fabulous (drama-free!) visit this time! Thank you so much again to all the staff and the Manageress! A bientôt!”
“The building itself is beautiful and full of character, and the bedding was very comfortable. Breakfast was truly exceptional — high-quality products, great variety and plenty to choose from. A few points could be improved: the water never gets really cold (I like cold showers), the water pressure is a bit low, and the room finishing could use a light refresh. The décor is also quite minimalistic. Overall, a pleasant stay with excellent hospitality and a fantastic breakfast.”
